This post comes from my beautiful cousin, Sienna. She lives in Massachusettes and is the proud moma of two gorgeous little twin girls, Aislynn and Juliette. She's also a preschool teacher and knows a thing or two when it comes to entertaining the kiddos!
One idea is to hit the beach early in the day with a small group of kids and go swimming. Also check if there are any wake pools in your area. We have one around here that I just discovered with some other moms and I loved it. John and I are going to take the girls there in a few days and a bunch more times this summer. It's hot as hell here right now and anything that involves water gets my vote.
My preschoolers loved making bracelets and necklaces out of whatever you have around the house. You can also buy a huge bin of beads and elastic or gimp (lanyard) and the kids could make jewelry out of that. Hmmmmm you should also call on some other dads who have the day off once in a while or who are not working/unemployed and have them help out with the kids or get involved some how.
My summer vote is to get the kids out and playing in the water. What could be better? I think you just need a bigger play group and the children will use their imaginations and excel in "pretend play".
Thanks love! I miss you so much and I appreciate your input. Please keep your ideas coming and kiss your beauties for me!
